Terry Holmes is a very difficult individual to work with. He has a short temper with both employees, customers or service providers. As customers, we were subjected to screams and abusive behavior a couple of times. He is not a clear communicator, you are supposed to guess what he wants only to be abused when you are wrong. It is a constant atmosphere of walking on shells. He hires subs and employees that have a checkered past and this translates into enormous problems for the customers that have to deal with property theft and financial distress. By the time you realize all these, you are tied up by a contract favorable to him, with little recourse unless you can stomach a huge financial loss by abandoning the project. Building a house should not leave you traumatized for years.
