As an electrician I have scrapped wire for a long time. I just moved to this area and this was the yard closest to my house. Never have I been told to separate and get a different price for solid or stranded single insulated wire. And it’s no cash, check only. Will not return. Brought in 80lbs of single insulated and got 137$

Im an electrician and I've been scrapping copper for a long time... This place only cuts checks instead of paying in cash... Mid Atlantic is right up the road... Dont waste your time coming here

Im surprised this place is still open to start. But I still to this day have people complain about this place. They dont pay even close to what every other scrapyard pays, they will rip you off on weight or even just leaving off the fact youv dropped of metal there. I should only take you one trip there to figure it out. Go try it for yourself or save a load of time and money and go to guttermans iron in norfolk.

as a first timer, they told me where to go and who to talk to and go from there. The person sorting, explained to me what is what and why it is in said catagory. I’ve been back 3 more times and heading back in with more today, learning a little more each time what’s worth more broken down, and what’s not worth my time (everyone has their own system and perspective). Thanks guys and gals, for being friendly and patient. Thanks to you the scrap yard isn’t as intimidating as I thought it up in my head 😂 Can’t wait until I have a truck again so i can fill it up! Thanks for letting me bring in only one carload at a time!

Trying not to hit the rating too hard, they're human. Prices fluctuate rapidly so, call ahead. But at nearly a dollar less for certain metals, take a short trip elsewhere if you aren't a fan of throwing money away. Prices fluctuate rapidly,
