This shopping center is cute. I went into the Safeway and everyone was friendly. I went to a restaurant (Vietnamese or Thai?) and they were friendly. Basically every time I'm there it's a friendly experience.
This little mall has most everything the neighborhood of Manoa needs. There's a Safeway and a CVS for their daily needs. There is also bank and several small restaurants available in this outdoor mall. On the upper floors, there are a variety of services ranging from nail and hair salons along with some yoga and physical therapy studios. They recently redid the parking lot here and I initially questioned the logic in which this was planned and executed. In the end, it seemed as though more parkings were removed than added. But this just might be perception. I'm guessing that this parking work had to be done to accommodate the large tree roots that were cracking and raising the asphalt in the parking lot. I might be a bit biased since I've been coming to this mall since I was a child. But, despite the recent parking woes, I still rate this mall highly at 4 stars.
Starbucks is pretty at night It's convenient because there are pokki restaurants and nail salons
Stores you need including two bakeries longs and Safeway in addition to small shops. Beautiful setting in Manoa Valley
Manoa Marketplace is fantastic. We went up to this shopping center during the Tsunami warning and ate at a fabulous Thai restaurant. Lots of places to hang out while waiting to be released to go back home after the warning.
