Came back here twice because the poke was THAT good! Try the old school and the kitchen sink! Happy they let you sample a few because it let me branch out and try new flavors. Also loved the Hawaiian and the classic shoyu

The food was incredibly delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes, and mine was salmon with seaweed and some poke. I believe one of the poke was Hawaiian style and loved it so much! The plate was pretty big I was not able to finish all of the rice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this place.

Ten hour layover in Oahu and stumbled upon Fresh Catch on our way to Byodo-in. Needed a quick lunch and it was an unforgettable choice. Their Hawaiian poke was probably the best I’ve ever had. The spicy ahi katsu was incredible. Worthy portions. We’re back home and still dreaming of it. Service was quick. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit.

If you’re looking for one of the best local food stops on Oahu, do yourself a favor and make time for Fresh Catch in Kāneʻohe! We stopped here for lunch after spending the morning swimming and snorkeling at the breathtaking Lanikai Beach while heading back to Waikiki, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine Hawaiian hospitality. The staff was incredibly welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. Since they offer such a great selection of fresh poke, they happily let us sample different varieties before ordering so we could find exactly what we liked. That level of customer service made the experience feel personal and showed how much they care about their customers. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The poke was absolutely incredible some of the freshest, most flavorful poke we’ve ever had. Every bite melted in your mouth, and you could immediately tell the fish was high quality. Whether you’re a poke enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this is the place to do it. The chicken katsu was perfectly cooked with a crispy golden coating on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. It paired perfectly with the delicious rice, which was cooked just right and complemented every bite. Even the simple sides were prepared with care, making the entire meal satisfying from start to finish. The restaurant offers comfortable indoor seating, making it a great place to cool off after a morning at the beach. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a bonus on Oahu, especially after a busy day exploring the island. What really stood out was how authentic the entire experience felt. This isn’t just another tourist stop it’s a place where locals and visitors alike can enjoy exceptionally fresh food served by people who genuinely want you to have a great experience. If you’re visiting Lanikai Beach, Kailua, or driving back toward Waikiki from the windward side of the island, I highly recommend making Fresh Catch in Kāneʻohe part of your itinerary. Whether you’re craving fresh poke, perfectly cooked chicken katsu, or simply want a delicious local meal served with outstanding hospitality, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll absolutely be coming back the next time we’re on Oahu. Fresh Catch has earned a permanent spot on our list of must-visit restaurants in Hawaii. Highly recommended!

We’re travel foodies and travel mostly to just eat. Drove out of our way to come here a second time in our week trip to Oahu simply because it was so good! Fish is extremely fresh and has no fishy taste at all. Perfectly fried/seared fish with delicious seasonings, at a very reasonable price. We liked everything, but the seared/fried tuna was the highlight. Small first floor dining area with large upstairs dining area. Minor plus - no tip option! A stop that absolutely should not be missed on the island.
