We had a great experience with Shawn from A Degree Above. On his first visit, he performed much-needed maintenance on our older HVAC system, which had not been regularly serviced by the previous owners. He was thorough, professional, and took the time to explain how we could get the most life out of the system. When we continued having issues, Shawn returned for a second visit and conducted another detailed inspection. He carefully checked the system, identified a few smaller components that could be replaced to improve performance, and gave us honest recommendations on future maintenance and repairs. While taking another look at the ductwork, he discovered a 5-gallon bucket lid completely blocking the upstairs return duct. It’s something we never would have found on our own. Thanks to Shawn’s expertise and persistence, our AC was working properly again just in time for a 100+ degree weekend in Raleigh. We highly recommend Shawn and A Degree Above!
Shawn and the Degree Above team came through in a big way when our rental home’s AC went out last night. It was 83 degrees inside when he arrived and the unit wasn’t cooling at all. Even though we’ll need a new part, he quickly bypassed the faulty component so our renter wasn’t left without air conditioning. By the time he left, the house was nice and cool again. This company truly cares about their customers and goes the extra mile to take care of people. If you’re in Raleigh or Wake Forest this is the company you should trust.
Shawn was extremely personable, professional and timely with his repair. I appreciated his customer focused approach taking the time to talk to me about my system and what I can do to help with preventative maintenance down the road. Having a system that's approaching midlife. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He's very honest about what to expect with her charges. I'm in good hands with him and his company and decided to move forward with the preventative maintenance to stay ahead of things as much as possible.
I had a great experience with Degree Above Heating & Air. Shawn and Jesse were fantastic—super professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They were able to diagnose and fix the HVAC issue at my investment property incredibly quickly, which made a huge difference for me and my tenants. They showed up on time, communicated clearly, and got the job done right the first time. It’s not always easy to find reliable HVAC companies, but these guys definitely earned my trust. Highly recommend these guys!
All I can say is it Shawn is full of awesomeness! He’s been in my house a few times to service our HVAC system systems.. He also replaced one of our units… The other unit is ready to go, but he says we still have a little life left in it so he’s extremely honest which is something we value so much! As soon as the next unit goes out, we are definitely using this company!
