Home Comfort Systems went above and beyond what was expected in replacing two of our AC systems this summer. Not only did they provided us with great pricing on the two systems but have them installed within a week. Dustin was very professional from start to finish. He was patience and explain all things related to AC system and installation process. He and his crew were reponsive, prompt, experience, efficient and meticulous. This company cares about their customer's satisfaction and I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

I initially called Home Comfort Systems because my AC wasn't blowing cold air. I want to be clear that the technician was excellent, and he quickly figured out the issue was a faulty capacitor. However, the company's billing structure and the final cost gave me significant pause. 1) The repair itself involved replacing a 35+5 MFD DUAL CAPACITOR. This is a very simple fix—essentially swapping out the part and connecting a few wires—and it took the tech about 15 minutes. The total pre-tax charge came to $350. Since my prior experience with the company had been positive (I didn't feel like they were "nickel-and-diming" me), I trusted the estimate. Only later, after I received the invoice, did I look up the part and realize the capacitor is easily found online for just $15–$30. While I fully appreciate that a company has to charge for expertise and overhead, paying a ~$320 (the cost without materials) for a 15 minute installation of an inexpensive part feels excessive. I realize I should have done my homework before agreeing to the repair. I'm sharing my experience so that other customers remember to compare costs and maybe even look up a simple "capacitor replacement" video on YouTube—it could easily save you a few hundred dollars. 2) The way the company explained the two main charges (on my invoice) created the impression that I was being double-charged for some services. In my email exchange with the coordinator, she described the two charges as follows: Service Call: A full system evaluation is included as part of our $99 service call fee so the technician can properly diagnose the issue and ensure everything is operating safely and correctly. Repair Cost: This covers the technician’s time and expertise, diagnosing the issue, providing the part, installing it properly, and ensuring the system runs correctly before leaving your home. As you can see from the descriptions, both the initial service call charge and the separate repair charge have overlap. For instance "diagnosing the issue" and "ensuring the system runs correctly." This overlap is what made me feel like I was being charged for the same core service twice under different line items. This feels dishonest. Anyways, ultimately this my fault. Based on my previous interactions with this company, I trusted their estimate to be somewhat reasonable. Ultimately, I let myself be fooled. Don't be like me. Do your due diligence. (As an aside, I'm giving 2 stars as the tech was relatively helpful. The issues I'm bringing up don't directly relate to him.)

Dustin and his team did an amazing job replacing my two hvac systems! They were so kind, thorough, trustworthy, professional and did a great job educating me on the system and new thermostat. Christy was also so helpful with scheduling and answering all of my questions. I felt very comfortable through the whole process. I can’t thank you guys enough for all your hard work! I’m extremely happy with the service and will be recommending them to anyone who needs any HVAC services!

Routine maintenance turned into two new HVAC units because I didn't want to put anymore bandaids on them. Dusty, JT, and their crew were absolutely amazing people to work with. Extremely efficient and meticulous with their work. It's obvious they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend this team and the company!!! A++++ business

I recently had these guys come by and replace an old Goodman R-22 unit with a newer Rheem unit. Dustin and his team came out and replaced the unit within a few hours during our scheduled appointment. They were diligent regarding any questions, preferences, etc. The quote process was honest and transparent. They also pulled the necessary permits and I had no issues with the town inspection that followed install. Would recommend to anyone looking for an honest local business!
