We recently hired Rick Smith to help us with a for sale by owner real-estate transaction. Rick was a joy to work with, responsive and meticulous. As our representative, Rick found numerous errors in the paperwork that would have signifyingly delayed or even voided the transaction. He took the necessary time to educate us on what he was doing on our behalf with the right amount detail. Our family was initially reluctant to hire an attorney for this recent transaction, but certainly glad we did.

I highly recommend Rick Smith. Very caring and respectful. Always answered/called back/emailed me back within 24 hours, most of the time less than 24 hours. Rick helped me get adopted and I could not be more grateful! Rick went out of his way to make sure this was an easy process by explaining all of the paperwork and process. Your willingness to explain and explore topics touching on both of our areas of expertise were admirable. I had a very good professional exchange every time we talked. That he or she would be in good hands and if they were a mutual client of ours, I'd have confidence that the advice and work would be solid and fully executed. I've enjoyed our conversations about the legal process itself and about practice management. I hope you find great success in Utah. The process of settling an estate is always seemingly complex and bespoke to the situation. In addition to dealing with a grieving relative and unhelpful financial institutions, there are due diligence aspects that are just heck to figure out. I never look forward to these situations while knowing they are unavoidable.
