I recently visited Shingo Japanese Restaurant in Wellington, and it truly is a hidden gem! From start to finish, everything was impressive. The miso soup was rich and comforting, and the ginger salad was fresh with a perfectly crispy bite. The sushi rolls had great flavor and were beautifully prepared. I also tried the chicken and broccoli dinner, which was delicious and presented with so much care. Overall, the food was flavorful, fresh, and visually appealing. If you’re in the Wellington area and looking for an amazing Japanese spot, I highly recommend giving Shingo a try. You won’t be disappointed!
The food was awesome. Came for lunch and got the NY Steak bento box. Amazing. I would definitely comeback here! Price point was excellent!
Nice little place. Lots of food options. Staff was friendly. Short wait for a table. Took about an hour an a half for food to come out
Absolutely amazing sushi! I got the Ex-Girlfriend Roll from the regular menu and Baby Bangkok Roll from the daily specials. Atmosphere was great and service was excellent as well from Genesis and Quana (apologies for spelling!) What more can you ask for, this is my new favorite hole in the wall spot!
Food here is consistent. Menu is pretty big. Our family likes the ramen choices. Spicy pork is a favorite. We come here for sushi because it's the most decent in the area, we just wish their was a more creative selection. They have all the basics nothing special or beyond the basics. Tuna, salmon, hamachi, but not much more in choices. They also have hand rolls. Their to go service seems to be very organized and busy. The servers are nice but service can be on the slower side.
