Can't get anyone on the phone. Get put on hold for over 2 hours, until 4:30 when their office is closed. Received mail on Friday 10th, with forms & attachments needing to be back to them by the 15th; that's 3 business days, because I don't get mail delivery until around 4:30 p.m. (Yet they have "30 days" to process things on their end. Not fair!) The DSS website menu is not working. You click on it and it's all white, on the left column. (See photo.) It doesn't give you any categories. What the heck. The portal says I already have an account setup but it can't be accessed to do anything, because the menu button isn't working! Tried to set up a new account and that tells you you already have an account setup. You try to reset a password, you answer their secret question (and I guarantee my answers have not changed), then it says you're entering the incorrect answers. You got to be freaking kidding me! 6 hours today. Got nothing done with DSS in Greenville SC. And everything is supposed to be due by 5pm TOMORROW... and I have an appointment with a surgeon tomorrow afternoon. So I only have tomorrow morning to finish this, which is basically 2.5 days to get this done. This isn't fair and it's not right. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander. Just saw where this agency is being investigated and it's beautiful to hear! We have been doing kinship for a family member of mine for almost 11 months. A few months ago they asked to start the foster care kinship program because we were threatened with that or the baby being taken away and placed with another family. The only difference is money. So, the day before we were asked to take custody of the baby, my elderly mom had another stroke. She lives with us and can barely walk and talk. My mom had a DSS case from her past due to drinking. Everyone knew of this before we took custody and started this process from day one, 9 months before we started the foster care process. Fast forward, we were denied because of her background. She can barely even function and is no threat to the baby! Our backgrounds, clean. Drug test, clean. Etc. Our option is to take full custody without financial help or give him up to be placed somewhere else. That makes zero sense and shows it is a pure money game and flawed system. He isn't safe with my mom in the home if money is involved, but if no money is allotted than he is perfectly safe and we can adopt. What a disaster. Poor children and families involved! This isnt about the children anymore and let's not get into the foster parents in SC they have approved, look it up. Joining the class action, see ya in court ladies!
I have been coming up to this dss office for the last 3 months! I haven’t been receiving my F.i on the 1st & haven’t been receiving my Foodstamps which is supposed to be deposited every 2nd of the month every month for the last 3 months I’ve had to run to this office 4times or more before my benefits are released! May I just asked them to turn the f.i off & just leave the stamps on i turned in a letter in person & through email to find out today that they stopped my F.i & foodstamps off after receiving clear instructions! I am overwhelmed! Over stimulated! Stressed out & tired! This is ridiculous & very reckless! & the only answer I get is someone isn’t doing their job! I have absolutely had it!
Another useless government agency...how about PICKING UP THE PHONE!! The people that work at these places that are supposed to help people are a JOKE! They better hope their not the ones trying to call one day, see how they like it!
It's like every one working from home for DDS is all in your business also very rude wen u call them. I hate DDS they are so unprofessional an don't care about the individual information they send mail that's never been sealed.just very messy Be glad wen it's all over.they need to know wat kinda people are working for them even I could do better than that. So sad sad business
