We heard about Papa's Tapas from inKind. We had never heard about this restaurant before. We had a wonderful meal here. I love tapas and Papa's Tapas did a very nice job. We had several small plates. Calamari, Plantains, Octopus, Brussels Sprouts. Our server Leonardo made our visit a positive experience. We will be back.
Okay experience, but it didn’t meet our expectations. When we arrived there was some awkwardness around getting seated, we stood at the hostess stand for a bit while servers looked over before someone eventually came to seat us. We also noticed servers rolling silverware at a table in the dining room during service, which felt a little odd for this type of restaurant. The food was decent but nothing really memorable. The bacon wrapped plantains were good and the meatballs were the standout dish. We also tried the cazuelita (which was pretty flavorless), ham croquetas, brussels sprouts, and a chicken quesadilla. That said, our server Shaina was great and very attentive, which helped the experience. With so many other tapas spots in area , we’ll try somewhere else next time.
Very loud which I guess was to be expected on a Saturday night! Really great food, the tapas were outstanding and we all agreed it was difficult to decide which was our favorite. Would definitely be back!
Papa's Tapas Restaurant My visit to Papa’s Tapas Restaurant in Delray Beach, Florida was absolutely outstanding — a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Spanish flavors and beautifully prepared small plates. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. We started with The Cazuelita, a rich and flavorful combination of shrimp, scallops, calamari, mushrooms, and chorizo sautéed in garlic, olive oil, and white wine — perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying. The Pork Belly was another highlight: tender, grilled, and marinated to perfection, topped with garlic and cilantro, and served with crispy tostones that complemented every bite. We also enjoyed the Sautéed Garbanzos, with chickpeas and chorizo in a savory pisto sauce that brought bold, comforting flavors to the table. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with authentic taste, making this one of the best tapas experiences I’ve had in South Florida. Combined with the outstanding service, Papa’s Tapas is a must-visit in Delray Beach. Highly recommended! #TravelWithRolando #DelrayBeachEats #Tapas #SpanishCuisine #FoodieFinds
The ambience is perfect like your transported to Spain. The service was excellent. We went on a Friday night and were able to get a table inside with no problem. Alejandra our server was excellent. The food was delicious. My only issue was the mushrooms. It said garlic and white wine sauce, but for some reason, ours was very spicy. I saw a little red shredder too in there. It looked like a hot pepper. We ordered the meatballs, the seafood mix, but I will say the calamari was chewy/overdone. Everything else was delicious and oh by the way, if you have room for dessert, you have to get the tres leches. Heavenly. I do recommend Papa’s tapas and I usually don’t put anything negative but those were the two things that I personally did not prefer. We will go back for sure!
