I’ve been to Tomica in the past and have always loved the way she does my hair. As Tomica has been on leave, I booked an appointment with Samantha instead. I waited around two months for her next available appointment, which I was more than happy to do because I specifically wanted a senior colourist with many years of experience who would take the time and care with my colour. Samantha did my foils and the placement was fantastic. However, when it came to the part of the service I had specifically booked her for (her expertise in colour as a senior hairdresser) she was with another client applying extensions. Because of this, she wasn’t able to apply my toner/colour herself. Instead, two apprentices applied my toner. They were lovely and did their best, but the reason I had waited two months and booked with Samantha was so that she would complete the full colour service. I had received confirmation that Samantha would be doing the full service, which is why I waited for her availability. Had I known she wouldn’t be the one applying the toner/colour, I likely would have booked elsewhere. Unfortunately, the toner that was applied ended up washing me out and looked nothing like the inspiration photos I had shown Samantha. I had showed photos that reflected depth, dimension and in between warmth and ashy to suit my skin tone and features. The final result was a very flat colour, and it didn’t appear that much technique or variation had gone into achieving the dimensional look I had asked for. After my hair was rinsed, one of the apprentices asked how I wanted my hair dried. I requested a bouncy blow dry, but there didn’t seem to be much technique involved, there was no sectioning or clipping for shape or volume. The same pieces of hair were brushed and dried repeatedly. It felt like time was being filled while Samantha was with another client having foils applied before she could come back to trim my hair. When Samantha came to cut my hair, my blow dry had to be brushed/comb out to do the cut, which meant the bouncy blow-dry was essentially undone. I didn’t understand why the cut wasn’t done before the blow dry so that the style could be finished properly afterward. After the cut, Samantha asked how I wanted my hair styled, whether I wanted the blow dry redone or some waves. By that point I had been at the salon for almost six hours and wasn’t happy with the overall result, so I just said the blow dry was fine because I wanted to go home as I had young kids to tend to. There are wonderful staff at Tomica’s salon, but the experience felt quite disorganised and lacking structure. I felt disappointed as I had waited a long time for this appointment and was unhappy with how it went. I had to get my hair toned at another salon not even 24 hours after having my hair done here because I didn’t feel confident leaving the house.

Samantha is an absolute gem!!! she has such incredible energy and gave me a great cut and style. The whole team is super welcoming and their care and dedication to creating a great experience for customers is unmatched!!

Tomica is most humble and amazing hairdresser I have ever had in my life!! The type of service we experience at the salon is absolutely amazing!! She will never disappoint and I love getting my hair done with her!! She is the blonde expert!!! Thanks so much Tomica for all you do!! Love you girls ❤️

Had a shampoo, blow dry and style done with Imogen and she was nothing short of amazing. So lovely to chat with, and she made me hair look and feel amazing! Super relaxing shampoo and the blow dry was spot on. She’s super talented and friendly, she made the whole experience feel effortless. Cant wait to book with her again!! 🥰
