Craving some home cooked southern food? Give this little gem a try! Located on the main strip of N Main St in downtown Greenville, SC, it’s just tucked out of the way where you can step away from all the hustle and bustle. Walking in the atmosphere is very clean and light but charming. With plenty of seating inside and a cute hidden bar tucked in the back with the bathrooms. They have an open kitchen concept where you can observe the cooks and linemen at work. Which was cool to watch. Service was great even though they had run out of their signature meal, the half roasted chicken, before the dinner rush, which was a bummer. We got there around 4PM, it was nice since it hadn’t gotten too busy yet. However they were offering a full menu that day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, so there were many other options to choose from. We ended up getting our second pick, the Southern Grits and Shrimp, which OMG ended up being a great decision. Overall their food and deserts nailed the southern theme everything was so good! The prices were also really reasonable. It is in a very busy section in downtown Greenville so finding parking could be a challenge, they do not have a separate parking lot, so plan accordingly. The next time I’m in Greenville I will definitely be coming back.
First time at this Tupelo Honey location. Nice atmosphere inside, seated right away though we waited a full 13 minutes until we had our waitress come over to the table. She seemed quiet and uninterested in her job though she did get a little better as the evening went on. Food was quick once we ordered and delicious.
Our waiter was the BEST! We stopped in for lunch today I had the Salmon with greenbeans and crispy Brussel sprouts, my sister had the chicken sandwich with fries, and my mother had the chicken tenders with goat cheese grits and crispy brussel sprouts. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great. And the service was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. I'll be back for sure.
Wow! What a cool place to go for lunch. Our server Haley was fantastic and very friendly. Gave great recommendations as well. We had the biscuits with the blueberry jam to start and YUM! We also got the fried chicken and a chicken sandwich. All was very fresh and the atmosphere was top notch. Will definitely be back!
I went to Tupelo Honey in Greenville with a couple friends for Happy Hour. They have great specials from 4-6pm Monday through Friday. Starters are half price, $2 off drafts/bottles/cans, $2 off wine by the glass, $5 off well drinks and daily specials. Mimosa Mondays : $2 OFF all regular and mega ‘mosas, Martini Tuesdays: $3 classic gin or vodka martinis & cosmopolitans, Wine Wednesday: 1/2 off bottles of wine, & Tequila Thursday: $6 Tupelo Honey Margarita. We went on a Tuesday & I had a great dirty martini. We ordered fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, brussel sprouts, chicken soup, and biscuits. Everything was delicious, but the chicken poblano soup was the best. They have one of the best happy hour specials in town. But it doesn’t look like people know about it. We were one of just a few tables…but business did pick up as we were leaving.
